Sponsored by Xiangshan Science Conferences and undertaken by Beijing Institute for Brain Disorders, "The International Summit Forum on Critical Brain Disorders" (506th Xiangshan Science Conference) was successfully held at Beijing Xiangshan Hotel on October 10-13, 2014. Professor Xiaomin Wang, Head of Beijing Institute for Brain Disorders & Director of Department of Neurobiology Capital Medical University, Academician Pu Muming, Head of Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sten Grillner, Academician of Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institute, and Academician Max Cynader, Director of Center for Brain Research, University of British Columbia, were joint executive chairmen of the conference, and more than 50 experts and scholars at home and abroad attended the conference.
The central topics of the conference were: the status and development trend of translational medicine research of critical brain disorders; basic and clinical researches and translation of critical brain disorders, as well as cut-in and fusion of the industrialization process; new theories, new ideas, new technologies and new methods for translational medicine research of critical brain disorders; strategic development suggestions and roadmap for translational medicine research of critical brain disorders in China.
This conference promotes intersection and fusion between disciplines, provides an exchange interaction platform for cooperation between Chinese and foreign scholars, and provides a display platform for raising the overall level of research of critical brain disorders in Beijing Institute for Brain Disorders and China and improving the international reputation for research of critical brain disorders in Beijing Institute for Brain Disorders and China.
